On November 10th 2006, the first visual document of Diary Of Dreams’ famed live presence was released. The track list seems like a “best of” compilation from their “Live Nigredo 05” tour, where they played tracks like “AmoK” (in a beautiful acoustic version) but also hits like “The Curse”, “Giftraum” and of course “Traumtaenzer”. Apart from the live material, the DVD features a “making of” documentary of their photo shooting in Iceland, a most exquisite photo show, extra fragmentary films that can be activated while watching the live show, and an extensive interview that offers an in depth view of the band history.
While watching the more than 200 minutes total running time of this DVD, you quickly realize that “nine in numbers” is most of all a very personal work of the band, and it presents a perfect recollection of the longest tour the band has ever done.
It was about time that their spirit and their work were documented: Nowadays, bands like DoD are hard to find. Therefore, “nine in numbers” is more that a contemporary document, it is a very personal review of one of the very few legends of this genre that are still alive and kicking.
Diary of Dreams don’t play their music, they live it, and they share this passion and euphoria with their audience – live as well as through this DVD.
